Who Are We?

POA Learning are the learning arm of the Professional Trades Union for Prison, Correctional and Secure Psychiatric Workers (POA).

What do we offer?

We offer a range of learning opportunities including distance learning courses and CPD Certifies short courses.

How much does it cost?

Most of our courses are provided without charge, unless you don’t complete them or don’t keep in touch with your tutor. Some specific courses may attract a fee.

When can I begin?

When you are ready. The courses work around you!

Although the prize draw has been made, the learning survey remains open, allowing you to express your opinions on learning that is off interest to you, and what your future learning aspirations may be.

Adult Learning Wales Courses

Provided and delivered by Adult Learning Wales these learning opportunities cover a variety of different topics. If you are interested in any or more than one of the sessions, you can apply via the POA Learning project and provided you meet the criteria of working within the prison and probation service in Wales or live in Wales and work elsewhere in the UK for the prison and probation service, the project will subject to having available funding support the cost of your course fees.
