Civil Services Success Profiles – The Application and Statement

This short course will combine the previous Teams ‘Approaching the Application Form’ and ‘Civil Service Statement’ courses
delivered by Neil Rider.
A workshop on Drafting Behaviour Examples Monday 17 November 1pm - 3pm
This will be more interactive than the Teams session for a small number (up to 15) and will comprise a workshop looking at and critiquing a number of 250 or 300 word behaviour examples at least one of which will apply the Scottish Government ‘STARR’ (Situation, Task, Action, Result, Reflection) approach. We will also consider specific advice from particular Civil Service employers (including Fast Stream)
Preparing for an Interview and Assessment Tuesday 25 November 10am - noon
The session will aim to give participants an insight into what to expect and how they can prepare themselves in order to build confidence prior to assessment.
How to approach Civil Service Strengths Tuesday 2 December 1pm - 3pm
This webinar will explore the basics of Strengths as used in CS Strengths Profiles at interview. This expanded version includes 3 videos of FDA members and providers offering ‘baselining’ and strengths responses under ‘real time’ conditions.
Demonstrating your strengths in an interview situation - Thursday 4 December 11am - noon
This webinar will concentrate on approaches to demonstrate your leadership and management skills in an interview situation. There will be a focus on both leading teams directly and also remotely and using your experience of working or volunteering.
