Do your research about the roles you are interested in
To find out more information about the roles you are interested in you can access the Career Pathways document. It covers most of the roles in HMPPS, divided into job families and then Operational and Non operational roles. You will also see the link to the Job Description - which will describe the Success Profile and requirements for the role (strengths will not be advertised) you can then tailor your development to the requirements of the new role.
Take a look at the Career Pathway Document (must be logged onto justice)
Set up a job search alert
Take a moment to go to justice jobs website (or Civil Service Jobs) and see what roles are available, set up a new alert - you will then hear of jobs which have been launched on a daily basis/ weekly basis. Roles are usually advertised for a 2 week period, the closing date will clearly be described.
Do not wait until the closing date to start your application - they take longer than you think.
